Το Τμήμα Διεθνών και Ευρωπαϊκών Οικονομικών Σπουδών σε συνεργασία με την Έδρα Jean Monnet ΟΠΑ: The EU as a Security and Diplomatic Actor διοργάνωσε Τιμητική Εκδήλωση για τον Εορτασμό της Ημέρας της Ευρώπης, την Τρίτη 9 Μαΐου 2017, ώρα 17:00-19:00, στο Αμφιθέατρο Αντωνιάδου του Οικονομικού Πανεπιστημίου Αθηνών, 1ος Όροφος, Κεντρικό Κτήριο ΟΠΑ, Πατησίων 76, 10434, Αθήνα.  
Στην εκδήλωση ομιλητές οι: Αστέρης Πλιάκος, Μαργαρίτα Κατσίμη, Γιώργος Παγουλάτος.  
Συντονισμός από τον αναπληρωτή Πρύτανη Ακαδημαϊκών Υποθέσεων και Προσωπικού Δημήτρη Μπουραντώνη. 
Στην εκδήλωση συμμετείχαν μέλη από την Ευρωπαϊκή Πολιτεία.

Europe for citizens

2nd Meeting in Lisbon 27-29/03/2019

At the meeting in Lisbon we were met to implement our second #V4YEevent "Democracy Tourists". 

Many thanks to our hosting organization APSHSTDC-Assoc. Port.Saúde,Hig. Seg.Trabalho , Des.Coop. Int.-ONGD. 

We discussed 

• Policies and good practices of urban mobility for tourism and citizenship
• Spaces of multiculturalism and education for citizenship as a contribution to democratic tourism
• Democratic processes in the participating countries

European Elections 2019

European Republic participates in Europe for citizens program "Vote 4 your Europe" project is motivating the EU citizens to go to the polls and encouraging their active democratic participation. Also develops a stronger sense of ownership of the European project.

Ευρωπαϊκή Πολιτική Συζήτηση ενόψει των Ευρωεκλογών 2014

Το Τμήμα Διεθνών και Ευρωπαϊκών Σπουδών του Οικονομικού Πανεπιστημίου Αθηνών, σε συνεργασία με την «Ευρωπαϊκή Πολιτεία» και με την υποστήριξη του Γραφείου του Ευρωπαϊκού Κοινοβουλίου στην Ελλάδα, οργάνωσε εκδήλωση με θέμα "Ευρωπαϊκή Πολιτική Συζήτηση ενόψει των Ευρωεκλογών 2014. Η εκδήλωση πραγματοποιήθηκε την Παρασκευή 9 Μαΐου 2014 και ώρα 18.00 - 21.00 στο Οικονομικό Πανεπιστήμιο Αθηνών, στο Αμφιθέατρο Δεριγνύ. Η εκδήλωση έλαβε χώρα με αφορμή την Ημέρα της Ευρώπης και ενόψει των Ευρωεκλογών. Προσκεκλημένοι στο πάνελ ήταν οι υποψήφιοι ευρωβουλευτές κ.κ. Π. Αρβανίτης (Ανεξάρτητοι Έλληνες), Γ. Κατρούγκαλος (ΣΥΡΙΖΑ), Β. Κορκίδης (Νέα Δημοκρατία), Ε. Νικολάου-Αλαβάνος (ΚΚΕ) , Β. Σουλαδάκη (Ελιά-Δημοκρατική Παράταξη), και Π. Τσάρτας (Δημοκρατική Αριστερά). Η εκδήλωση συντονίστηκε  από τους κ.κ. Α. Πλιάκο, Καθηγητή, Γ. Καρύδη, Επικ. Καθηγητή, Σπύρο Μπλαβούκο, Επικ. Καθηγητή. Η συζήτηση διεξήχθη μεταξύ των υποψήφιων ευρωβουλευτών και των φοιτητών, οι οποίοι υπέβαλαν ερωτήσεις σε  καθορισμένες θεματικές ενότητες Ευρωπαϊκού ενδιαφέροντος. Σκοπός της εκδήλωσης ήταν να εγκαινιάσει μια νέα περίοδο ευρωπαϊκού πολιτικού διαλόγου στην Ελλάδα, με πρωταγωνιστές τους νέους, προκειμένου να ξαναζωντανέψει η Ευρωπαϊκή Ιδέα. Η επιτυχημένη αυτή εκδήλωση αποτέλεσε την πρώτη εμφάνιση του Σωματείου Ευρωπαϊκή Πολιτεία. Τα μέλη του ανέλαβαν πρωτοβουλίες και συμμετείχαν ενεργά στην οργάνωση, στην ομαλή και επιτυχή διεξαγωγή της εκδήλωσης.

The general project objective is to find a new set of tools for citizenship awareness by implementing a series of workshops that compare and discuss the different political agendas in the beneficiary countries.

Specific objectives:

▪ Motivating the EU citizens to go to the polls and encouraging their active democratic

participation;

▪ Developing a stronger sense of ownership of the European project;

▪ Provoking a debate on the rise of Euroscepticism and its implications for the voting process and future of the EU.
