A beautiful journey and a great collaboration began in the European project Erasmus + KA1 A.C.E. in Rome on July 2019

The cooperation of young people with adolescent migrants residing in "Cita dei ragazzi " was amazing. 

The initial fear of working with young people from another continent left and was replaced by a strong friendship.

Cooperation in different fields, discussions, playing sports, and general communication was extremely important.

The young people who were involved in the program eventually became friends with their fellow workers from Egypt, Senegal, and other countries.

In the end, there are so many things that we need to learn for everyone who is forced to leave their home country for a better future.

The young people of the program shared and felt their anxiety, their struggle and their effort to fulfill all their dreams.

You see, it is not much different from where you come from, as long as you are a fighter and you love your fellow man.

Νέοι από 2 ηπείρους μαζί!

Ευρώπη - Αφρική 

Ένα όμορφο ταξίδι και μία εξαιρετική συνεργασία ξεκίνησε στο ευρωπαϊκό πρόγραμμα Erasmus+ΚΑ1 A.C.E. στη Ρώμη τον Ιούλιο του 2019.

Η συνεργασία των νέων με έφηβους μετανάστες που διαμένουν στην Cita dei ragazzi ιδιαίτερη. 

Ο αρχικός φόβος της συνεργασίας με νέους από άλλη ήπειρο, έφυγε και στη θέση του μπήκε μία δυνατή φιλία.

Η συνεργασία σε διάφορους τομείς, η συζήτηση, τα σπορ, η ανάγκη της επικοινωνίας σημαντική.

Οι νέοι που συμμετείχαν στο πρόγραμμα έγιναν τελικά φίλοι με τους συνομήλικους τους από την Αίγυπτο, τη Σενεγάλη και από άλλες χώρες.  

Τελικά είναι πάρα πολλά και συγκινητικά αυτά που χρειάζεται να μάθουμε για όλους όσους αναγκάζονται να φύγουν από την πατρίδα τους για ένα καλύτερο μέλλον.

Οι νέοι του προγράμματος μοιράστηκαν και ένιωσαν την αγωνία τους, τον αγώνα τους και την προσπάθειά τους να πραγματοποιήσουν όλα όσα ονειρεύονται.

Βλέπετε, δεν έχει μεγάλη διαφορά από πού κατάγεσαι, αρκεί να είσαι αγωνιστής και να αγαπάς τον συνάνθρωπό σου.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF 

A.C.E. vitamins for young Active Citizens in Europe is a Youth Exchange that has an overall goal to sensitize young people to become European active citizens in their own communities from the local to the wider one, that includes all, that is the European Union, becoming aware about how they are interconnected with each other, discovering how much the European Union is present in our local life and discovering more about the benefits it brings in the daily life of its citizens, in particular, way of its young people. Inspired by a pool of young people in a previous YE, this Youth Exchange wants to be the missing opportunity for young people, but one that feels the need, to learn share spread the social change inside their own communities, and to strength at the same time their own sense of belonging to European Union, fertilizing it with their own initiatives. And as 2019 is the year of the elections of European Parliament and as a lot of participants have voted for the first time, the Exchange will be the opportunity to experience the functioning of this institution through a simulation of the same.

So, in general, the project has focused on these aims: 1) to understand concretely what means to be active citizens nowadays in Europe and in the world: the issues, challenges, opportunities that being active citizens in the XXI century involves; 2) to improve some soft skills, attitudes and competences useful to experience concretely the active citizenship, such as the dialogue as a tool to build empathy, trust and understanding with other people and other cultures. 3) to reflect on the meaning of community, rebuilding the map of different communities of which we are part, to strength the belonging to European Union;  understanding how the different communities "work", learning to identify interventions for addressing communities'issues. 4) Planning a social action, a project for a community, delivering social action using improved social responsibility and leadership skills.

METHODS AND ACTIVITIES: name games, Icebreaking activities, energizers, team building. Interactive activities on the themes (exercises, games, storytelling, simulation game on European Parliament), cooperation with migrants, workshop and visit at a local NGO,  and meeting with local administration, intercultural evening, excursion in the territory.

Democracy Day

Europe for citizens - Vote 4 your Europe

Participants from 10 European countries participated in the Diversity and Democracy workshop "Europe for citizens" - Vote 4 your Europe.

We spent 2 days full of workshops, sessions and cultural walks. We thank our German partner M2C for organizing the "Democracy Day" meeting.

Επισκέψεις στην Περιφέρεια Αττικής, στην Ανώτατη Σχολή Καλών Τεχνών και στη Βιβλιοθήκη της Βουλής των Ελλήνων.
